Brubacher is an excavating company located in Bowmansville, PA. They have a second location in Liberty, PA, just north of Williamsport, however, their service area extends east to the outskirts of Philadelphia and west towards Harrisburg. Their services also extend into Delaware and Maryland. Typically they work within a 50-mile radius from the office. The services provided range from earthwork, pipework, paving, clearing, and site construction. Basically anything from the ground and down. Brubacher prepares the land for the building. We had the chance to interview Tracy, the IT director at Brubacher. She has been with the company for almost 22 years and is the entire IT department. Tracy handles all the company cell phones, laptops, desktops, iPads, smartphones, and the phone system within the company. She also maintains any software that they have. They rely on Runwell Solutions, Inc. for all the networking side of IT (firewalls, VPNs, servers) and Runwell Solutions, Inc. will also support Tracy as well when she is out or overloaded. Brubacher has been with Runwell Solutions, Inc. for over 10 years; back when they were called Wyomissing Data Systems! Back then, Brubacher had reached a point where they needed to outsource their IT. They contacted several local IT companies and that is when they chose to work with Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Tracy stated that they stay with Runwell Solutions, Inc. because of the personal contact and touch they receive from Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Other IT companies are big and you don’t get to know the people that work there. At Runwell Solutions, Inc., you have a relationship with them and you are not just another customer to them. Runwell Solutions, Inc. is continually coming up with new ideas and keeping them updated on what would best serve them and guiding them on what is best for the company. Instead of making an investment in hardware, Brubacher hosts with them, and they don’t have the cost of keeping all the hardware they need on hand. This is more of a consistent cost instead of trying to plan out big purchases every couple of years. It also saves Tracy and the company the headaches and worries about wondering what might happen to their hardware, as it is kept in a safe environment with Runwell Solutions, Inc.. They also handle the entire gamut of things and not just networking and individual things. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has someone on staff for each different area. When asked what they would recommend about Runwell Solutions, Inc., Tracy says their customer service. Runwell Solutions, Inc. cares for the customer and gets the job done. They are there to answer the phone and help, without you having to leave messages and waiting. You can call, speak to someone, and get connected with the right person to help you with the issue. The aspect of personal touch is very important to Brubacher and that is what their company expects.

Vision Sign Group is a national sign and branding firm. They are a completely virtual company, with headquarters in West Virginia and staff all over the country and specialize in high-level logistics management. We had the opportunity to interview Kevin, the VP of Operations for the company. Kevin has been with the company for 2.5 years and handles everything on the IT level from working with Runwell Solutions, Inc., dealing with IT issues, and integrating software. He is the contact person for IT in the company. Kevin first learned about Runwell Solutions, Inc. through a colleague, who was their original software developer. Because they are virtual, the reputation of Runwell Solutions, Inc. of high-level technical and customer support interested Kevin and Vision Sign Group. They were looking for a turnkey IT solution and that is what they got with Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Even today, they are continually impressed with Runwell Solutions, Inc. customer service. No matter what is going on in the company, Kevin knows that they will not have to wait. Runwell Solutions, Inc. immediately jumps into action and works at creating a solution that works best for the company. Kevin believes that efficiencies in all IT needs drive productivity and that is what they get with Runwell Solutions, Inc.. They have never experienced any downtime with Runwell Solutions, Inc., which is crucial to their virtual business. Another thing that Kevin appreciates about Runwell Solutions, Inc. is that everyone on the team is willing to help them – from the first phone call placed with Chanelle to directing their call to the person best able to help them. He says that Jonathan is such a hands-on owner allowing Kevin the opportunity to call Jonathan directly. The company made the decision to change directions with their IT overhead and separated from Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Kevin says that was one of the biggest mistakes he has ever made. Due to productivity loss and lots of downtime, the company lost an estimated $30K while trying to manage, maintain and support all the IT without the benefit of Runwell Solutions, Inc.. They called Runwell Solutions, Inc. back right away and asked if they could return as a client. Kevin says that Jonathan and the team were not negative towards them (ever) for their decision to leave and worked immediately to get them back up and running to full capacity with business as usual, which they had previously not been for 2 weeks since the decision to leave Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Kevin says that Runwell Solutions, Inc. has out-of-the-box IT solutions and they offer things not a part of their original services. They help you navigate through different parts of that. They are always willing to guide you through different ideas and are not one-dimensional. Kevin deals with over 2500 vendors, and Runwell Solutions, Inc. is in the top 1% of the best of the best.

Kegel Kelin Litts & Lord (KKLL) is a law firm located in the Lancaster area. They work in education law, business law, estate planning, estate administration. We had the opportunity to interview Robin who is the firm administrator of the firm and has been there for 20 years. Robin works directly with Runwell Solutions, Inc. on managing their IT and making sure that everything is running smoothly. Runwell Solutions, Inc. became a vendor with KKLL when the firm first started, about 25 years ago. Robin says that she has been most impressed with Runwell Solutions, Inc. turnaround time and this is something that she would recommend to others as well. If you reach out to them, you have one contact and so you get to deal with the same person every time. Runwell Solutions, Inc. also has an extremely quick response time. You don’t have to sit and wait for them to get back to you. Rather, you can expect someone immediately or within 5 minutes to give you a callback. This is important in a business setting when you may not have long to get a problem resolved. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has helped to increase productivity in their business because they make sure to keep current with all the IT updates that need to be in place. They are on top of everything. Their staff consists of 37 employees, 8 attorneys, and 29 supporting staff members. The firm’s primary focus is representing personal injury victims. We had the privilege of interviewing Virginia, the COO, and Carin, the IT administrator. Carin’s role is IT support. She is the interface between their employees and Runwell Solutions, Inc.. MWKE has been impressed by Runwell Solutions, Inc. with their loyalty, knowledge of IT, and dedicated support to the firm. Runwell Solutions, Inc. supports all of the firm’s IT operations. Runwell Solutions, Inc. assists with strategic planning. The firm maintains an on-going 3-year plan so they continually look to the future. With assistance from Runwell Solutions, Inc., the firm has increased productivity. They have had minimal server disruptions in all the years that Runwell Solutions, Inc. has been a business partner with the firm. This has not been the case with other IT companies they have worked within the past. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has kept them up and running with minimal downtime unless previously scheduled for maintenance. Virginia says they view Runwell Solutions, Inc. as a partner, not a vendor. The firm relies on them for support and IT guidance. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has extensive knowledge and reliability. They are forward-thinking and open-minded to creatively think about different projects. You can always count on Runwell Solutions, Inc. to be there whenever needed.

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) is a State/Federal Commission which was established in 1971 by a Compact and SRBC will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2021. The mission of the Commission, defined in their Compact, is to enhance public welfare through comprehensive planning, water supply allocation, and management of the water resources of the Susquehanna River Basin. The Susquehanna River flows 444 miles from its headwaters at Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, New York, to Havre de Grace, Maryland, where the river meets the Chesapeake Bay. We had the opportunity to interview Brydon, the manager of the IT department of the Commission. Brydon has been the manager of the IT department since he started at SRBC 16 years ago. Brydon stated that the IT department consists of four talented staff members who handle the day to day IT needs of the Commission. However, SRBC relies on Runwell Solutions, Inc. for many of the major hardware and software product updates, and high level IT questions and advancements as the Commission has grown over the years. Brydon first learned of Runwell Solutions, Inc. in 1998, when he was with another company. When Brydon started at SRBC in 2004, the Commission was with another IT company, and Brydon quickly realized that the current network support company was not doing a satisfactory job in terms of support. In early 2005 Brydon brought on Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Brydon said, “Runwell Solutions, Inc. technicians treat our network like it is their own network.“The staff at Runwell Solutions, Inc. are always concerned and conscientious with work on all aspects of our environment, from managing and monitoring servers to switches, to off-site back up. Brydon has had experience with other IT companies in the past, and the level of knowledge and commitment isn’t the same as it is at Runwell Solutions, Inc.. They are always there for you 24/7/365, answering whatever calls you may have. One of the first large projects that Runwell Solutions, Inc. helped SRBC with was the implementation of a document management system. SRBC had over 50,000 documents spread across their network, and Runwell Solutions, Inc. was able to help them consolidate all of these documents into one efficient cost-reducing solution. Runwell Solutions, Inc. also helped SRBC develop an externally facing web portal that assists companies (that are regulated by SRBC) to easily submit their water use data to SRBC on a quarterly basis. This helped the Commission (and the regulated companies) improve their efficiency in uploading the water use data to SRBC and into one location. Brydon says that we can rely heavily on Runwell Solutions, Inc. for support, but they also helped transition SRBC to perform many network tasks internally and on their own, which is a testament to their teaching and guidance. Brydon recommends Runwell Solutions, Inc. for their knowledge and experience. They always get the job done and do it the right way. Brydon and SRBC are always confident that Runwell Solutions, Inc. is able to get a project completed, on time, and accurate from start to finish. Saidis, Shultz & Fisher is a law firm that handles a number of different areas of law, including real estate, business law, estates, litigation, and more. They have five attorneys along with three support staff. We had the opportunity to interview Sean, a member of the firm and president since October 2017. He is the coordinator of all things IT and works closely with Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Sean first learned of Runwell Solutions, Inc. when he worked with them at a previous firm. When he opened up his own firm, he hired Runwell Solutions, Inc. as his IT support. Sean says that Runwell Solutions, Inc. feels like an integral part of the firm. When they email or reply to something, it feels like they are just down the hall. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has always had excellent quality work with rapid response times, and Saidis, Shultz, & Fisher has always been pleased with the work they do. Runwell Solutions, Inc. always goes above and beyond. The firm did experience a couple of challenges both in 2017 when starting the firm and in 2020 when they were expanding during the pandemic. Todd and the Runwell Solutions, Inc. crew were there and ready to help with IT design and layout of the new office. They had issues with Internet providers and Runwell Solutions, Inc. was able to get them over some massive hurdles to make things right and get up and running on time. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has helped the firm improve productivity. When Sean can’t do things on his own, Runwell Solutions, Inc. is able to come help and get things done. This will either be remotely or they will send someone else out to help work on something. One example of this is when a PC went down recently. The Runwell Solutions, Inc. team came out on the same day to get the PC. The repairs were turned around in 48 hours and in the interim when the PC was getting worked on, Runwell Solutions, Inc. offered a computer to keep the attorney going. When asked what they would recommend about Runwell Solutions, Inc., Sean says that it’s almost like having your own internal IT department. You can rely on them and they are a part of your team. Runwell Solutions, Inc. believes in their operation and wants what’s best for them. Sean says that Todd in particular, but all the staff, has been very supportive, and it is great to have them at their fingertips. Saidis, Shultz, & Fisher recognizes that there is a culture of excellence from top to bottom at Runwell Solutions, Inc.. Everyone they have interacted with has been responsive and sincerely concerned and invested in the well-being of the firm.

For this spotlight we had the opportunity to interview Melanie Vanderau. Melanie carries a lot of different roles at the company including being a member of the board of directors, a shareholder, chair of the IT team, and IT security officer. Runwell Solutions, Inc. was already Mette, Evans & Woodside’s IT Partner when Melanie began working for the company as an attorney 14 years ago. Through her years of working with Runwell Solutions, Inc., Melanie has been impressed with their level of responsiveness, their institutional knowledge of and history with Mette, Evans & Woodside. Melanie says that Runwell Solutions, Inc. has a high level of personal involvement. They take their job seriously. As Mette, Evans & Woodside does not maintain its own in-house IT staff, Runwell Solutions, Inc. fills that role and its staff genuinely cares about their work for Mette, Evans & Woodside. Curtin & Heefner, LLP, is a full-service law firm located in the Bucks County region, with offices in Yardley, Doylestown, Berwyn (PA), and Princeton (NJ). They currently operate with 30 attorneys and work in many practice areas including Property Damage, Insurance Defense, Personal Injury, Banking, Real Estate, and Commercial Transactions. For this spotlight, we had the opportunity to interview John and Betty Jo. John is the Firm Administrator and has been working with Curtin Heefner for 4 years. Betty Jo is the in-house IT coordinator and has worked with the firm for over 30 years. John and Betty Jo co-manage IT for Curtin Heefner. John oversees firm operations including financial, HR, marketing, and IT. Betty Jo is the first point of contact for all IT issues and is often able to resolve day-to-day issues. However, the firm was in need of an IT company that could work with them on back-end server and infrastructure issues. They were also looking for a company that could partner with them on IT planning and growth. Curtin Heefner worked with Runwell Solutions, Inc. for over 20 years, starting in 1996 when the firm implemented its first computer system. At the time, they learned about Runwell Solutions, Inc. online and were impressed with their in-house training. After their long tenure with Runwell Solutions, Inc., the firm decided to shift gears and work with another IT company, which they did for approximately two years. During this time, the firm experienced many issues and in late 2019 they made the decision to return to Runwell Solutions, Inc.. They always ensure new users are all set up and ready to go on their first day. Runwell Solutions, Inc. responsiveness is unmatched in their industry. They provide immediate responses and make the firm feel like they are a priority. Betty Jo says: Runwell Solutions, Inc. takes minutes, not hours or days, to respond to a question or problem. They are very intelligent in how they approach problem-solving and employ a wide variety of engineers that specialize in different areas. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has stood by Curtin through the difficult times they have all experienced this year. With support from Runwell Solutions, Inc., Curtin has remained productive and has not experienced any downtime caused by internal system issues. Runwell Solutions, Inc. is proactive in that they provide monthly maintenance and monitor the system to ensure their network doesn’t go down. In the few incidents of downtime that did occur, due to power outages, Runwell Solutions, Inc. was immediately available to help get the firm back up and running. Curtin also enjoys discussing IT with Runwell Solutions, Inc. because they do not overwhelm the firm with technical jargon. They explain things and ensure John, Betty Jo, and others on their team have a clear understanding. They are also very patient with more difficult, IT challenged users. Sherman Silverstein Kohl Rose & Podolsky, P.A., is a mid-size general practice law firm with 19 lawyers principally serving the New Jersey/Greater Philadelphia regional areas, with a national presence as well. Sherman Silverstien provides expertise comparable to larger law firms but is small enough to offer direct client interaction with responsible partners at a fair and equitable cost. We had the opportunity to interview Dan Barrison, one of the current managing partners, and Holly Taylor, the firm administrator.

Technology is a key component of Sherman Silverstein’s practice. Sherman Silverstein determined early on that investing wisely in technology was essential to staying competitive. Dan is the point person for planning their IT strategy, including key decisions regarding network structure, backup, disaster recovery, and so on. Holly is responsible for the implementation of IT and the coordination of everyday maintenance. She tracks and deals with various issues that pop up throughout the day. Sherman Silverstein learned about Runwell Solutions, Inc. through an IT previous company that they worked with. Prior to Runwell Solutions, Inc., Sherman Silverstein worked with a series of consultants, many of which served larger city law firms. One of the prior IT companies working with Sherman Silverstein did not have expertise with iManage, the firm’s document management system. This was problematic as the document management system is crucial to all aspects of Sherman Silverstein’s day to day workflow. This prior IT company subcontracted its iManage support to Runwell Solutions, Inc.. When Sherman Silverstein decided to reevaluate their IT consultant, they recalled Runwell Solutions, Inc. and reached out to them directly. As a firm too small to warrant its own on-site full-time IT staff, Sherman Silverstein made the decision years ago to outsource its IT support needs. On a moment’s notice, Runwell Solutions, Inc. ensured that all of the attorneys and all of the office staff were able to work remotely; again it was a seamless transition. When things like this arise, Runwell Solutions, Inc. always jumps in to implement a solution, which saves Dan and Holly time and energy by not having to attempt to figure out and solve the problems themselves. While Runwell Solutions, Inc. is not in close proximity to the firm’s main office, they are always willing to come onsite to get problems resolved. Holly recalls reaching out to Runwell Solutions, Inc. at 3 PM one day, regarding an attorney issue, and they were at the office at 8 AM the next morning! This client spotlight is on a law firm in Williamsport, PA. Their firm focuses on litigation, employment law, estate planning, and real estate for both commercial and residential. We were able to interview the Office Manager, who has been with the firm for 12 years. The Office Manager has a host of responsibilities, one of which is IT. She is primarily responsible for making IT decisions for the firm, especially with upgrades and new technology. She is also very security conscious and enjoys consulting with Runwell Solutions, Inc. about different ways to keep the firm secure. She will, on occasion, get involved in day to day IT issues and works with staff members and Runwell Solutions, Inc. to get issues resolved. She also works with Runwell Solutions, Inc. on projects and new initiatives. She helps to define the scope of the project, discusses pricing, and presents it to the firm for approval. Runwell Solutions, Inc. has worked with the firm since 2003 on a variety of projects, with the most recent project being last fall.
